Statement of Policy

It shall be the policy of this Homeowners Association that door-to-door solicitations shall be prohibited in accordance with local governmental regulations unless the solicitation shall be by a resident member of the Fairway Springs Homeowners Association or on behalf of a resident member of the Association.

Implementation

The United States Supreme Court ruled on July 17, 2002 that individuals, i.e. Jehovah’s Witnesses and political individuals are allowed to solicit.
If someone comes to your door and you tell them you are not interested and they persist; you may call the police; that is harassment.
We are allowed to have a “No Soliciting” sign, hoping it will discourage other solicitors.
