GATE / RESTROOM KEYS

Statement of Policy

It shall be the policy of this Homeowners Association that access to the Clubhouse Pool shall be controlled through issuance of keys to the locked gate at the clubhouse entrance. Residents in good standing, their families and guests, and their tenants desiring to use the Clubhouse Pool shall gain access through the locked gate at the Clubhouse entrance. This gate shall be locked at all times, and access to the area shall be by an approved key. This key will be issued to all members requesting such upon payment of a refundable $10.00 deposit.

Implementation

8/9/85
The Board discussed and agreed that a homeowner requesting a replacement key for a lost key will be charged a $10.00 lost key fee.

11/16/89
The Board discussed and approved the expenditure of $600.00 to convert key locks on the Pool entrance and the restroom doors to a coded key card reader. The Board and attending homeowners discussed and agreed that a $10.00 refundable deposit would be required for the new Key Cards. It was moved and seconded and approved unanimously to require a #10.00 refundable deposit for each Key Card issued to Association members.

1/18/90
Future replacement of lost or damaged Key Cards will require a $10.00 additional fee.

5/26/94
A motion was made, seconded and approved that, as of this date, the Association will not require a $10.00 deposit for the replacement of lost, damaged, or worn out Key Cards. The issuance of all key cards will be under the strict control of the Director responsible.

1/26/96
The key card readers that activate the locks on the gate and restroom doors have recently been changed to improve the integrity of access to the Association amenities. This action required that new key cards be issued to all members. The number of the previous key cards in circulation had greatly exceeded the number of association members. To curtail the possibility of this situation recurring it will be neccesary to charge a $10.00 refundable deposit for the replacement of lost key cards and for issuance of a second card. Damaged or worn out cards will continue to be replaced at no charge.

5/27/03
The association will require a ten dollar ($10.00) deposit for a key card for a member who has not had a key card previously.

A second key card will require a twenty-five ($25.00) dollar deposit.

Alost key card will require a twenty-five ($25.00) dollar replacement fee. The treasurer, or director in charge of entries, will deactivate the lost key card through the office computer.

If the lost key card is found, the original card will be reactivated if the replacement card is returned, and will in turn have the twenty-five ($25.00) dollar fee refunded to the member returning the lost key card. The replacement card will then be deactivated.

Damaged key cards will be replaced with a new key card providing the holder of the damaged card key returns the card key. The damaged card will be deactivated through the computer, and the new key card will be activated and recorded for that member.

No children will be issued a key card – only adult members.

No more than two (2) key cards will be issued per lot number.

All key card deposits are refundable when key card is returned to the treasurer.
